The kids landed
inside a gigantic metal base full of:
- sparks flying
- explosions happening in rooms that
shouldn’t be exploding
- evil robots arguing about who misplaced
a fusion cannon
- Starscream complaining, loudly,
dramatically, constantly
Starscream screeched the moment he saw them:
“MEGATRON! WHY DID YOU BRING… FOUR FLESH — SIZED — CHAOS
GREMLINS INTO MY BASE?!”
Ray waved. “Hi! I’m Ray! I explode things!”
Ethan added, “He’s not lying.”
Starscream shrieked.
Amy dusted herself off. “Megatron, respectfully, we are
HUMAN CHILDREN. We do not belong here.”
Lucy grabbed Amy’s shoulder. “Amy, we can’t REASON with
them. These are DECEPTICONS. We will DIE.”
Ray whispered, “Or become AWESOME.”
Ethan whispered, “Or both.”
Megatron stood tall and proud.
“These four have potential. They defeated a mutated
scientist. They survived my presence. And they roast each other with skill.”
Soundwave stepped forward and played back recorded audio:
RAY (recording): “Ethan couldn’t survive a soft pillow.”
ETHAN (recording): “Ray’s brain has two settings: OFF and what if we set it
on fire.”
The Decepticons paused.
Shockwave tilted his head. “Their insult efficiency is…
statistically impressive.”
Starscream crossed his arms. “They
are small, fragile, and noisy. What good are they?”
Megatron smirked.
“Allow me to demonstrate.”
TRAINING SESSION 1 — “INTIMIDATION”
Megatron pointed at Ray.
“SHOW US YOUR BATTLE CRY.”
Ray inhaled.
Then yelled:
“CHEESEBURGER POWER!!”
The scream echoed through the base.
Three drones exploded.
Starscream fell over.
Shockwave recalibrated his audio sensors.
Megatron nodded. “Acceptable.”
TRAINING SESSION 2 — “CHAOS MOBILITY”
Ethan was instructed to run an obstacle course.
He tripped on the very first step.
That trip caused:
- a
chain reaction
- three
laser turrets misfiring
- a
ceiling panel falling
- a
drone screaming in binary
- Starscream
screaming in dramatic soprano
Ethan stood up, unharmed.
Megatron crossed his arms proudly. “He is statistically
immune to consequences.”
Shockwave wrote down: “Chaos-based movement:
unstoppable.”
Lucy whispered to Amy, “They think Ethan is a superweapon.”
Amy whispered back, “To be fair… sometimes he is.”
