Chaos at Round One 3

Chapter 4: Karaoke Chaos

They headed to karaoke next — a private booth with disco lights, a touch panel, and two microphones.

Lucy, the only one with actual singing talent, picked “Taylor Swift – Love Story.”

She sang beautifully. Everyone clapped.

Then it was Ray and Ethan’s turn.

They chose Let It Go.

At first, Amy thought it was a joke. Then she realized they were serious.

Ray sang off-key at maximum volume. Ethan used the tambourine like a battle drum.

“LET IT GOOOOO!” they screamed in harmony — except one was a full octave too high, and the other sounded like a dying goose.

Lucy covered her ears. “I can’t— I physically can’t—”

Amy grabbed the mic mid-verse. “STOP SCREAMING!”

But Ethan refused. “THE COLD NEVER BOTHERED ME ANYWAYYYYYY—!”

And that was when the microphone short-circuited from sheer volume.

Smoke filled the booth. The lights flickered. The karaoke screen glitched and started playing Baby Shark.

Ray blinked. “Is this part of the show?”

Lucy screamed, “WE’RE LEAVING.”

Chapter 5: Round One Sports Zone

To cool off, they went to the sports section — basketball, table tennis, batting cages.

Ethan grabbed a basketball and shouted, “CURRY!” before throwing it straight into the ceiling fan.

The fan exploded in confetti.

Amy froze. “How… HOW do you even—”

“Don’t question greatness,” Ethan said.

Meanwhile, Ray tried batting practice. He missed every single ball.

“Okay, that one didn’t count,” he said after missing the fifteenth pitch.

Lucy handed him a helmet. “Please protect your brain— wait, too late.”

Finally, the ball hit him in the shoulder.

“Bro!” Ethan yelled. “You got hit by a 70 km/h fastball!”

Ray groaned. “Does that mean I get a medal?”

“No,” Amy said. “It means we’re going home.”
