DURING CLASS
Jazz attempted to remix the lesson into a beat.
Amy smacked his hand.
“No DJ-ing during school.”
Ironhide tried to test his blaster.
Lucy grabbed it.
“No weapons during school.”
Megatron tried to start a speech.
Ray launched a book at his helmet.
“No monologues during school.”
Optimus tried to add moral commentary.
Ethan grabbed his mouth.
“No long speeches either.”
Optimus rebooted.
“…Understood.”
LESSON 3: WORKING TOGETHER
WITHOUT DESTROYING ANYTHING
The kids gave them a group assignment.
It went… like this:

hummed too much
- Jazz
danced instead of working
- Starscream
complained about everything
- Wheeljack
exploded a pencil
- Ironhide
broke the desk
- Soundwave
tried to track the wifi
- Megatron
threatened the desk
- Optimus
apologized to the desk
Amy took notes angrily.
Lucy gave up.
Ray and Ethan cried laughing.
THE SECRET CONNECTION REVEALED
Finally, Optimus stood.
“Mini-Commanders… despite our flaws…
we are grateful.
Your guidance strengthens us.”
Megatron added,
“You four are the ONLY humans we do not want to
vaporize.”
Bumblebee beeped,

Starscream muttered,
“I don’t hate them… MOST of the time.”
Jazz saluted.
Ironhide bowed.
Wheeljack promised fewer explosions (a lie).
The kids looked at each other.
Amy smiled.
Lucy sighed but smiled too.
Ethan grinned.
Ray declared:
“We’re your teachers now.”
All the robots cheered.
