Charity Fair 2 - Preparation Week 3

DAY 4 — THURSDAY: SECOND-HAND MARKET SORTING

Boxes filled the hall.

Amy organized categories.
Lucy made labels.

Ray held up a weird item.

“What is this?”

Ethan squinted.
“A lamp? A trophy? A cursed object?”

Lucy snatched it.

“Donate OR discard. Not speculate.”

Ray whispered,
“I feel like it’s watching me.”

They were assigned to sorting books.

Somehow ended up reading comics.

Amy caught them.

“…How long have you been sitting there?”

Ray checked his watch.

“Emotionally? Thirty minutes.”

DAY 5 — FRIDAY: FULL WALK-THROUGH

Everything was set.

Booths lined the courtyard.
Stage ready.
Food stalls inspected.
Safety signs everywhere.

The principal walked through, impressed.

“This is… surprisingly organized.”

Ray tripped over a cable.

Ethan knocked over a sign.

Lucy caught both.

Amy exhaled.

“Controlled chaos,” she whispered.

The bell rang.

Preparation Week was over.

The fair was tomorrow.

The kids stood together, exhausted.

Ray grinned.
“If nothing goes wrong tomorrow, I’ll be disappointed.”

Lucy smiled thinly.
“Something will go wrong.”

Amy nodded.
“But we’ll handle it.”

Ethan raised a fist.

“CHARITY CHAOS!”
