THE SHOWDOWN ON STAGE
The kids climbed onto the stage of the dark auditorium.
Santa summoned magic sparkles to light up the spotlights.
“Prepare yourselves!”
The doors burst open.
Six muscular glowing chickens strutted in like they owned
the place.
Ray yelled, “ALRIGHT LET’S GOO—”
Ethan charged with him.
Amy yelled, “WAIT DON’T RUN AT THEM—”
Too late.
The chickens flexed.
Ray and Ethan were blasted backward by a shockwave of pure
poultry power.
They crashed into the orchestra pit.
Lucy stared down at them. “How are you two still alive?”
Ray groaned. “Chicken magic…”
Ethan added, “We need armor…”
Amy rolled her eyes. “We need a plan.”
Lucy examined the chickens. “We need to lure them into one
spot and release the cure mist.”
Santa stroked his beard. “Chickens love one thing… corn.”
Ray and Ethan gasped. “WE HAVE POPCORN!”
They pulled out bags of cafeteria popcorn from their pockets
like proud raccoons.
Amy stared. “Why do you have popcorn??!”
Ray shrugged. “Emergency snack.”
Ethan nodded. “Always be prepared.”
THE POPCORN TRAP
They formed a popcorn trail across the stage.
The chickens immediately followed, clucking aggressively.
Ray whispered, “Bro they walk like villains.”
Ethan whispered, “They ARE villains.”
When all six chickens were gathered under the spotlight,
Lucy yelled,
“NOW AMY!”
Amy hurled the cure vial onto the floor.
POOOOOFFFFFFF
A cloud of sparkling mist erupted around the chickens.
The glowing faded.
The muscles shrank.
The chickens returned to normal.
One clucked weakly, sneezed, then pecked Ethan on the shoe.
Lucy sighed in relief. “Thank goodness.”
Amy nodded. “The cure works on mutated animals too.”
Ray held up a chicken. “I SHALL NAME HIM MUSCLE NUGGET.”
Ethan held another. “This one is BUFF WINGS.”
Amy yanked the chickens away. “PUT THEM DOWN.”
THE FINAL CURE DROP — ACTUAL SUCCESS (SOMEHOW)
With Santa firmly holding the controller this time—and Ray
and Ethan firmly tied to chairs “for safety”—the drones lifted gracefully into
the sky.
Cure mist released above the city.
A golden cloud floated through streets, parks, malls.
Zombies collapsed, glowed, and turned human again—confused,
drooling a little, but finally cured.
People stepped out of buildings, cheering.
The city was saved.
Santa placed a hand on each kid’s shoulder.
“You four did wonderfully,” he said warmly.
“And also nearly destroyed everything many times. But mostly wonderfully.”
Amy smiled proudly.
Lucy nodded.
Ray grinned. “WE SAVED CHRISTMAS.”
Ethan raised both hands. “AND INVENTED SUPER-CHICKENS.”
Amy and Lucy said simultaneously:
“STOP bragging about the chickens.”
Santa chuckled. “Children… Merry Christmas.”
Ray wiped a fake tear. “Merry BUFFmas.”
Ethan nodded seriously. “Amen.”
