🏰 TOUR OF DOOM
Ethan took them on a tour.
“This is the living room.”
A lion slept on the sofa.
A tiger sat on the armchair.
Crunch was eating popcorn out of a bowl.
Ray: “WHY IS THE ALLIGATOR EATING POPCORN?!”
Ethan: “He likes movies!”
They walked to the entertainment room.
“This is the home cinema.”
Roar jumped onto four chairs at once like an excited dog.
“This is the indoor pool.”
Crunch floated peacefully on a pool noodle.
Ray: “HE STOLE ANOTHER ONE OF MY THINGS!!”
Amy: “Ray, accept the loss.”
“And this is the basement.”
Amy: “What’s inside?”
Ethan: “A door.”
Ray: “What kind of door?”
Ethan: “A forbidden one.”
Lucy: “We’re DEFINITELY not touching it.”
Ray & Ethan: absolutely touching it
🚫 THE BUTTON
They gathered in Ethan’s cousin’s high-tech game room.
In the center of the room was:
A button.
A big, red, glowing button.
Ray: “Do NOT press that button.”
Lucy: “Why would you say that???”
Amy: “Ray saying it makes it WORSE.”
Ethan: “Nobody press it.”
Ray:
“Why not?”
Ethan:
“…because last time Crunch pooped in the jacuzzi.”
Lucy: “OH MY—”
Amy: “WHO MADE THIS HOUSE.”
Ray and Ethan stared at the button.
The button stared back.
Pikachu the hamster (from last chapter, who secretly snuck
along in Lucy’s bag) squeaked adorably.
And then—
Ray pressed the button.
Ethan pressed it at the same time.
Everyone screamed.
Crunch screamed.
Roar roared.
Squeak squeaked.
The lights flickered.
A siren went off.
And then—
Confetti cannons exploded from the walls.
A voice announced:
“PARTY MODE ACTIVATED.”
Music blasted.
Lasers flashed.
Crunch started dancing.
Roar tackled Ray again.
Squeak jumped onto Amy’s head.
Pikachu rode on Crunch’s back like a tiny king.
Amy: “TURN IT OFF!”
Lucy: “WE CAN’T!”
Ethan: “WHY IS THERE A DISCO BALL??”
Ray: “THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.”
🌅 THE MORNING AFTER
Ethan’s cousin walked in.
Everything was destroyed.
Sofa? Gone.
TV? Tilted.
Pool? Full of confetti.
Crunch? Wearing Ray’s OTHER shoe.
Roar? Sleeping on Lucy.
Squeak? In Amy’s lap.
Pikachu? Riding Roar like a horse.
Cousin: “So… you found the party button.”
Ray & Ethan: “YES.”
Cousin: “Nice.”
Amy and Lucy screamed into their pillows.
