The Roast Battle of the Century 1

Chapter1: “The Roast Master has Arrived”

It was a bright morning at Maplewood High — the kind of morning where Ethan woke up feeling like a genius, which meant disaster was about to happen.

He put on his “Best Brains 2019” T-shirt (which he bought online himself) and strutted into class with a grin so wide it looked like his face was about to explode.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” he declared, slamming his backpack on the desk, “the roast master has arrived.”

Ray looked up from his notebook. “Oh no… not again.”

Ethan smirked. “You better prepare yourself, bro. I’m about to roast you so hard your ancestors will file for sunscreen.”

Ray sighed. “You couldn’t roast bread.”

Ethan cracked his knuckles. “Challenge accepted.”

The teacher, Ms. Collins, said, “Ethan, please sit down.”

“I can’t,” Ethan said dramatically. “Comedy doesn’t sit — it stands tall!

Ray groaned. “You’re about as tall as my patience — which is short.”

Ethan pointed at him. “That’s rich, coming from a guy who looks like a math equation no one asked to solve.”

“Oooh!” yelled half the class.

Ray raised an eyebrow. “At least I can solve equations, bro. You think cosine is a toothpaste brand.”

Ethan shot back, “And you think charisma is a Pokémon!”

The class gasped. Even Ms. Collins was hiding a smile.
