🩳 CHAPTER 6: Poseidon’s Revenge
They decided to try the water slides next — the big, twisty,
terrifying one called “Poseidon’s Revenge.”
Ray looked nervous. “Bro… it’s…
really high.”
Ethan smirked. “Fear is just your brain being jealous of
bravery.”
They climbed 147 steps, hearts pounding, adrenaline
skyrocketing.
At the top, Ethan yelled, “LAST ONE DOWN BUYS ICE CREAM!”
and launched himself before the lifeguard even finished the safety talk.
Ray followed, screaming like an off-key trumpet.
They twisted, turned, screamed, and then—
SPLASH!
They hit the pool so hard that Ethan’s swim shorts whooshed
off like a torpedo.
He surfaced, eyes wide. “RAY. WE HAVE A PROBLEM.”
Ray was laughing so hard he could barely breathe. “Bro, your
shorts are in another timezone!”
The lifeguard, again blowing his whistle, sighed, “Sir,
please put your pants back on.”
Ethan whispered, “Do you think he means metaphorically?”
“NO!”
🦩 CHAPTER 7: Pool Noodle
War
To distract from The Great Shorts Incident™, they grabbed
pool noodles.
At first, it was innocent fun. Then Ray shouted, “TO WAR!”
and smacked Ethan in the face.
Ethan retaliated, unleashing a full noodle barrage.
Within minutes, 10 kids joined in. The pool became a
medieval battlefield of foam and fury.
A noodle flew into the lifeguard tower. Another hit the
snack bar sign.
The whistle screamed again. “ENOUGH!”
Ethan yelled, “WE WILL NEVER SURRENDER!”
Ray shouted, “FOR NOODLE FREEDOM!”
Security appeared.
