Chapter 3: The Kitchen of Chaos
They found themselves in a dusty kitchen. Pots hung from the ceiling, and a broken piano sat in the corner.
“Why is there a piano in the kitchen?” Ethan asked.
Ray shrugged. “So the ghost chef can play Bach with his snacks.”
The broken piano suddenly started playing by itself.
Ethan, trying to act cool, said, “Yo, it’s just wind pressure.”
“The wind doesn’t play Beethoven, Ethan!”
Ethan’s jaw dropped. “Bro… maybe it’s Spotify Premium for ghosts.”
Ray slapped his arm. “That’s not funny! It’s haunted!”
Ethan panicked, grabbed the only thing he had—a single slice of cheese—and threw it at the piano.
“TAKE THAT, DEMON!”
The cheese slapped against the keys with a sad “plonk.”
The piano stopped.
Ray blinked. “You just exorcised a ghost with dairy.”
Just then, the cheese slice slowly slid off the piano and fell to the floor.
Both of them screamed like toddlers who saw a math test.
Chapter 4: Meet the Ghost
Out of nowhere, a chill ran through the air. The lights flickered, and a translucent figure floated toward them—
“LEAVE THIS PLACE!” she bellowed.
Ethan fainted on the spot but somehow stayed standing.
Ray, shaking, stammered, “M-Madam, w-we were just admiring your… um… décor...”
Ray froze. Ethan stilling fainting but stood upright like a sleeping cow.
“Ma’am,” Ray stuttered, “we were just, uh, testing your piano.”
Ethan suddenly snapped awake and yelled, “WE BROUGHT CHEESE!”
The ghost froze mid-air. “Cheese?”
“Yeah,” Ethan said, fumbling. “Mozzarella. The good kind.”
The ghost paused. “…I prefer cheddar.”
Then, poof—she vanished.
Ray blinked. “Did… did we just have a cheese negotiation with a ghost?”
Ethan nodded. “Yeah, and I think we lost.”
