Haunted Halloween Havoc ππ
It was Halloween night — the one night a year when chaos was
expected. Unfortunately, Ray and Ethan existed, which meant chaos was guaranteed.
Amy had spent three days decorating her house for the
Halloween party: cobwebs, fog machines, glowing pumpkins, and even a fake
skeleton named “Greg” that she was unreasonably proud of. Lucy helped too,
though she made sure to keep all the fragile decorations at least six feet
above Ray’s reach and ten feet above Ethan’s.
By 7 p.m., the house looked like something out of a movie —
but the real horror hadn’t arrived yet.
It showed up at 7:01.
“π SURPRISE, WE BROUGHT
THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN!” Ray shouted as he and Ethan burst through the door…
dressed as a single two-person horse costume.
The back half (Ethan) tripped immediately, dragging the
front half (Ray) into a nearby bowl of punch. Amy froze, jaw dropped. Lucy
covered her face.
Amy: “You two ruined the drink in less than five seconds.”
Ethan (muffled inside the horse): “We can just squeeze the punch out of the
costume, right?”
Ray: “That’s not punch anymore, that’s horse juice.”
Lucy: “I hate that sentence.”
They staggered up, dripping red punch, looking like some
cursed Halloween demon-horse hybrid. Amy sighed so deeply that Greg the
Skeleton wobbled in sympathy.
Round 1: Costume Chaos π»
Amy organized a costume contest. Everyone was showing off:
witches, vampires, zombies… and then came the Horse Duo again.
Amy: “Please tell me you brought a backup costume.”
Ray: “Of course we did!”
Ethan (dramatically unzipping the costume): “We’re now—”
They pull off the horse and reveal… matching banana suits.
The crowd laughed. Lucy shook her head. Amy muttered, “I
hate that I didn’t expect that.”
Then, somehow, Ethan managed to trip on air and knock
over Greg the Skeleton. Greg fell apart dramatically in slow motion. Ray gasped
like he’d just witnessed a war crime.
“NOOO, GREG!!!” Ray screamed, trying to reassemble him. “He
had a family!”
Ethan: “Bro, he was the family.”
Amy: “You two are officially banned from touching anything.”
