Lucy: “Probably knighted, knowing this school.”

Finally, the principal announced:

“And the winners of Best Halloween Performance are… Ray and Ethan?”

The gym erupted.
Some cheered. Some booed. Everyone laughed.

Ethan gasped. “We WON?!”
Ray fist-pumped. “Justice for bananas everywhere!”
Amy and Lucy just stared, stunned.

Lucy: “They rewarded chaos again.”
Amy: “Next year I’m transferring.”

After the party, the janitor sighed, mopping up noodles.
Ray and Ethan sat on the floor eating candy.

Ethan: “Bro, we’re legends.”
Ray: “Yeah, next year, matching costumes?”

Amy walked by. “You mean Pineapple on pizza?”
Lucy: “That’s the real horror.”

Everyone groaned.
Except Ethan, who said, “I like pineapple pizza.”
Ray gasped. “Monster.”

The girls laughed as the two boys started arguing again,
still half-covered in spaghetti,
still the kings of chaos,
and still completely, ridiculously themselves.
